London's oldest riverside pub, established around 1520 in Wapping. The pewter-topped bar, flagstone floors and Thames views from the back terrace are incomparable. Hanging Judge Jeffreys used to drink here.
Stand at the back terrace at low tide, you can see the old river steps where pirates were once chained.
