London's oldest riverside pub, established around 1520 in Wapping. The pewter-topped bar, flagstone floors and Thames views from the back terrace are incomparable. Hanging Judge Jeffreys used to drink here.
Stand at the back terrace at low tide — you can see the old river steps where pirates were once chained.
